Brooks Circle? Yes, there was a Pal’s there and the Pot O’ Gold, owned, I believe, by Oakwood Market. There was an Upper Circle, too. It had, among other things, the Garb…er, Garden Basket store.

You’re correct on the Pot ‘o Gold. It was a unique concept by Oakwood Markets (Boyd & Tiller) at the time. It was to be a place where shoppers could get essentials after regular super market hours. I believe most of the super markets closed at 7:00pm back then.
I’d forgotten about those early (by today’s standards) closing times. Not to mention the Blue Laws!
