The photo for this postcard was taken by somebody atop Fire Station #2 (constructed in 1941). It’s post WWII, maybe late 40s. There are lots of people frolicking in the pool.
As a little guy in the 50’s, I loved it when we got to go to the Legion Pool during the summer! Usually my Mom planned the excursion with another Mom or two from the neighborhood. At that time we lived on Lamont St. across from Lincoln school. Kingsport was such a wonderful place to grow up in those days.
